DAY 1 WEDNESDAY
2/24
This is a day of discussion. This will be a chance for you to talk about some of the difficulties or freedoms that you experience as students of color in the university setting.
DAY 2 THURSDAY
2/25
This is a day of naming. Based on Day 1’s conversation, this session, facilitated by Carmen Morgan, will support you all in naming experiences and traumas that you may already or potentially will experience while navigating white spaces! On this day, we will begin to build the tool-box of support and resources.
DAY 3
FRIDAY
2/26
This is a day of release. We invite anyone who is willing to share a piece of art they feel allows them to release race-based trauma. It can be anything from a monologue to a painting just as long as you think it captures the theme of the day “Exorcise”. To ensure that everyone who would like has a chance to participate, we ask that the sharing not exceed 5 minutes.
2
Our conversations will be unfiltered—
you can express yourself freely!
3
If at any moment the conversation becomes too difficult, you have permission to turn off your camera and step away.
We ask that you rejoin the sessions as soon as you feel capable to!
1
This is a safe space!
Anything that is shared during the session stays in the session.
